I took these awhile ago.. in the spring I guess. But this is the area about fifteen minutes from where I live. The area was settled in the late 1700's and a small Civil War battle was fought in Barnesville where the gift shop is. Just felt like sharing.

That's really cool, Sculpy. I'm a history buff so I'm always on the lookout for old landmarks like that. One of the cool things about living in NM is that some of the oldest freestanding buildings in the country are in Albuquerque and Santa Fe. I think our Governors Palace in SF is THE oldest building in the country. Lot's of ghosts of dead politicians. [img]wink.gif[/img]

What's cool about living in Qu?bec City or Montr?al is that we have some of the oldest buildings in America

yeah, driving through the country in Ontario's pretty insane, the chapels get smaller as you go! I think one was even a novelty, because it would basically fit 3 people, sitting down!
